IMPERIAL TREASURE NAN BEI RESTAURANT

IMPERIAL TREASURE NAN BEI RESTAURANT
TAMPINES 1
#02-04

we arrived here for lunch
there was an extremely long queue
we almost jammed up the corridor
so if you wanna make a reservation
here's the number - 6484 3323

the seats were very comfortable
with very clean table setting
except for some finger prints on my chopsticks
however, no complains
lets eat!

it kinda confuses me
when there are too many menu
i dunno which one to look at
i really just wan to
1. look at photos
2. decide which one looks more appealing
3. order
4. eat

study 4 menu - not really!

we ordered some fresh soya bean to start
$1.80 each
9/10

HK Boat Congee
$6.80
9/10
smooth and delicious

BBQ Pork Rice Roll
$4.50
10/10
very thin rice skin
sauce were served a la minute
absolutely spot-on

Steamed Minced Pork Dumpling
$3.60
10/10
skin was thin
tasteful soup explodes into your mouth

BBQ Pork Bun
$3.00
9/10
nice fluffy buns with char siew
very nice

Stewed Minced Beef Rice
$12.00
7/10
Likened to our commonly known mui-fan
not very impressed

Roast Duck (Half)
$19.00
7/10
The waitress recommended duck as their specialty
of cos duck was also their signature on their website
however it did not impress me
skin was crispy, yes
but the meat was not marinated sufficiently
also the duck was well.. malnourished
if you're looking for a non-oily duck for food
this is wat u may wanna order

Pork Rib
$3.50
7/10
tasty and to the teeth
however could have more black bean

james digging in

BBQ Pork Pastry
$3.30
8/10
I like this a lot
its like my favourite tea-time snack
char siew soh with chinese tea

Hokkien Fried Rice
$12.50
8/10
First, this looks and taste like mui-fan also
can we have more creativity, please?
in short, this is gravy over egg fried rice
however generous serving of prawn and mushrooms
its rather boring to eat, like a japanese curry rice
monotonous after the third mouth

munch munch..
munch munch..

i almost couldn't finish my hokkien fried rice

meanwhile james was already ordering dessert

Egg Tart
$3.00
9/10
lovely little things
that crumbles easily

Steamed Egg Custard Bun
$3.60
9/10
Absolutely tasty and fun to eat
its soy bean paste in it
gives a slight sandy feel on the palette
while the bun is refreshingly sweet on its own
why did i say fun?
read on..

edwin was so amazed by the piping hot flowing stuffings

while kane was like "看看看"

i bit a small part off the side
and started squeezing it
like a taiyaki (たい焼き)
looks kinda like its pooping
omg i'm such a kiddy

pang sai pang sai..

at the next table
i spotted some familiar faces
jasmine - wife of my ex boss, vincent
with her parents and kids
as expected, the husband is absent
i kinda see myself becoming a vincent
with my indubitably senseless life

Chinese Herb Pudding
$4.50
8/10
i dunno how to rate this
cos i dun usually eat gui ling gao
it taste of herbal tea to me
the jelly was nicely prepared

the mango fragrant lingers in your mouth
pudding is fresh and refreshing
