Today we're gonna eat some Japanese food
Some kinda Egg + Unagi Maki
Soft Shell Crab Temaki
Probably the worst I've ever eaten in my life
It was small, taste very starchy
Taste of Octopus was minimal
Wasn't too bad
Plain simple food
TOTAL DAMAGE: $41.65 for 2 pax
Food Quality: 6.5/10
Food Portion Size: 8/10
Food Presentation: 7/10
Return Factor: 4/10
Value for Money: 4/10
Other Comments: Not impressed, not very satisfactory.
Couldn't find a reason to return.

Accompanied by fresh cool sugar cane juice to wash the oils down
Cooked in Chili Crab gravy
Rich in Cholesterol and Sodium
We ordered Lamb and Chicken
Barbequed, Skewered and served with
Rice cakes, Cucumbers and Special Peanut Sauce
Shaved Ice with Chendol (green jelly),
Red Bean, Atap Seed, Evaporated Milk,
Gula Melaka (Brown Sugar Syrup) and of course
The King of Fruits - DURIAN
Tasty treat for the couple..
Rich Milk Tea with condensed milk
Tarik (pulled) to aerate for better taste - Indian Styled
Egg Roti Prata
Indian Muslim styled bread (kinda)
served with curry gravy
Ice lime tea, likened to Ice Lemon Tea
except calamansi is used
The fun of this beverage is the interactivity
of spitting the calamansi seeds while drinking

This restaurant is rather reputable
with award winning and recognised dining experience
We're here to find out..
The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic
Cozy and condusive
There are even compartments where you can
bring you business partners here
Despite having made a reservation
we waited quite long after being brought to our table
The menu was impressive
beautifully taken pictures
good quality paper
Kinda makes you wanna order everything
that has a visual attached to it
Dining with us today are
Jonapong, Edwin Goh, Valerie, James and Adrian
They also have a Sushi Dinner Set
It took them long enough
to decide what they want

The tuna is tough
and it taste like canned 肉丁 ("bah teng")
Salmon Avocado Salad
I quite like this dish
It is refreshing, the greens are fresh
and the seasoning is perfect, with hints of wasabi
Did I mention the salmon is awesome?
Other than the salad shrimps,
the rest of the dishes are pretty dull
The bite-size tori kara age taste like
Oh yes.. Its quite fun
to eat salad with chopsticks!
The buckwheat noodles taste a bit over-cooked
However the presentation is fantastic!
Yasai Cheese Gyumaki
These croquette are kinda boring to eat
The stuffings all taste the same
and batter is a bit too thick
I came to realise that the restaurant fails at deep fried food
Yoshinoya-styled sliced beef were very tasty
Soup was rather bland
Well.. I would say
This is baby food
Hokkaido Miso Ramen
I'm very critical when I come to Japanese cuisine
And when it comes to Ramen
Everything fails if the soup base fails
In this situation, a big failure!
If you are a ramen fan and have tasted Tampopo,
this is a dish to avoid at all cost.
The soup appears to be prepared by a lazy and stingy cook.
This is really tasty.
The chicken teriyaki could be the best I've ever tasted.
Cut size was just nice, marination was perfect.
I would say this is a must-try.
Jonapong commented that the cabbage is tasty.
This is a very interactive and fun dish.
It comes with a sand hour glass
and your unagi don rests on a nice wooden platform
5-stars visual pleasure
Val commented that the unagi melts in your mouth.
I beg to differ, I felt it was too soft. Why so?
I feel that a good grilled dish should be more grilled
on one side, so that
1. you know which is the top side
2. there is a grilled texture when you put it in your mouth
If I want to eat something so under-grilled, I would go for braised
However it tasted clean, meaning the prep work was well-done
The macha ice-cream is fantastic
I would rate it on par with the one at Fuurin
Strong taste of green tea
with a refreshing after taste
This dessert looks friggin' ugly
but despite the looks of it
IT TASTE HEAVENLY
In layman terms, its like eating
豆腐花 + 芝麻糊
(bean curd + sesame paste)
Tofu Cheese Cake
A few of them did not enjoy this dish
but I felt its fantastic!
Its like a cream cheese bean curd
The crust is delicious
and the berry compliments the cake aplenty
It releases a soya bean fragrant inside your mouth
Total Damage: $181.00 for 6 pax
Food Quality: 6/10

Value for Money: 8/10
Return Factor: 6/10
Recommended for: Couples, Business Dining
Other Remarks: It is really not expensive for a Japanese dinner that also provides an awesome ambience, however a few dishes were really not up-to-standard. If I were to return, it is only for the desserts. Service wasn't fantastic for a Japanese restaurant also.
